Question: Where are we located?

Question: Where are door canopies produced?

Door canopies are proudly manufactured in the USA however splice brackets used to achieve extended widths are imported.

Question: Do you need a Miami Dade County NOA (NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE) to install a DOORBRIM door canopy in South Florida?

A Dade County NOA is not a requirement in South Florida.  A DOORBRIM door canopy is not a structural component of the building envelope.

FLORIDA BUILDING CODE AND FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE•  61G20-3.002 Definitions. • (31) Structural component means any part or assembly of buildings that comprises the main wind force resisting system and components or cladding.• 61G20-3.001 Scope. • (1) Products in the following categories as defined by subcategories of subsection 61G20-3.002(31), F.A.C., shall be available for approval by the Commission pursuant to Rule 61G20-3.090, F.A.C., for use in the state: • (a) Panel Walls; • (b) Exterior Doors; • (c) Roofing Products; • (d) Skylights; • (e) Windows; • (f) Shutters; and • (g) Structural Components. • (2) This rule applies to approval of products and systems, which comprise the building envelope and structural frame, for compliance with the structural requirements of the Florida Building Code.

Question: What kind of fasteners are available?

Dewalt DFM2ELG341   1/4in. x 1-3/4in.    UltraCon Plus Hex Washer Head screws are optional and can be purchased separately. The UltraCon Plus fastening system is a complete family of screw anchors for light to medium duty applications in concrete, masonry block, brick, and wood base materials. The UltraCon Plus is fast and easy to install and provides a neat, finished appearance. The UltraCon Plus screw anchor is engineered with matched tolerance drill bits and installation tools designed to meet the needs of the user and also provide optimum performance. The UltraConPlus features a gimlet point for self-drilling into wood base materials without pre-drilling. The UltraCon Plus screw anchor is available in carbon steel with a Stalgard coating in several colors. Head styles include a slotted hex washer head, Phillips flat head, Phillips Trimfit flat head and Hex flange head.

Question: What material is used to manufacture a DOORBRIM door canopy?

Door canopies are made of durable ABS plastic.

Question: What colors are available?

Door canopies are available in almond (off white), beige and gray. Click to see colors.

Question: What is the weight of a door canopy?

5 pounds and 6 pounds boxed.

Question: How can DOORBRIM door canopies protected against UV rays?

Door canopies are painted with a Sherwin Williams two part epoxy paint containing a UV inhibitor.

Question: Can door canopies be painted?

Your DOORBRIM rain diverter comes with an expensive 2 part epoxy with a UV inhibitor. This will also serve as a more than adequate primer and you can paint directly over it with a can of ordinary spray paint from your local hardware store. 

Question: What is the standard size of a single door canopy?

Width equals 52 inches, height equals 7.5 inches and projection equals 7.5 inches.

Question: What widths are available?

Height and projection are fixed. However, unlimited widths can be achieved with the use of intermediate structural splice brackets for double doors, sliding glass doors, overhead doors, windows etc.  Shorter widths are also available to waterproof electrical meters, switchgear, outdoor speakers, EV chargers and doggie doors.

Question:  Where are DOORBRIM rain diverters made?

Our rain diverters are proudly made in the USA.

INSTALLATION

Question: How hard is it to install a door canopy?

Door canopies are easily installed with optional caulking and concrete fasteners.

SHIPPING

Question: Can you ship door canopies internationally?

Door canopies are only sold in the USA and its territories at this time.

Question: How long does it take to process and ship a door canopy?

Door canopies are in stock and available for immediate shipment, usually between 1 to 3 business days.

PAYMENT

Question: Do I need a PayPal account?

You do not need a PayPal account to enter your credit card information on the PayPal website.

Question: Can I pay by check?

No, we do not accept checks or extend credit.

RETURNS

Question: Can I return a custom size door canopy?

Custom fabricated sizes using a splice bracket (EXTENDED and SHORTER WIDTHS specifically) are NOT RETURNABLE. Please verify all colors and dimensions. If you are unsure if our product will work for your application, you are encouraged to contact Customer Service or send us a photo of your door(s) or window(s) which we will review and offer our recommendation.
